Auxiliary Verb (সাহায্যকারী ক্রিয়া)

Auxiliary Verb (সাহায্যকারী ক্রিয়া) :

Auxiliary Verb কে সাহায্যকারী Verb বলা হয়। Sentence এ ব্যবহৃত যে সব Verb Principal Verb কে সহায়তা করে, সে সকল Verb কে Auxiliary Verb বলে।Auxiliary Verbs
Sentence এ ব্যবহৃত হয়ে নিজে কোন অর্থ প্রকাশ করে না।.

Auxiliary Verb এর তালিকা :

am, is, are, was, were, be, being, been, have, has, had ইত্যাদি।

Auxiliary Verb সমূহকে দুই ভাগে ভাগ করা যায়।

যথা : Primary Auxiliaries ও Modal Auxiliaries

Primary Auxiliaries

যে Verb গুলোকে বাক্যে Helping বা Auxiliary Verb হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয় তাদেরকে Primary Auxiliaries বলে।

যেমনঃ

Be verb : am, is, are, was, were

Example: He is writing a letter.

Have : have, has, had

Example: He has bought a mobile.

Do : do, does, did, does not, done etc.

Example: I don’t like this book.

Modal Auxiliaries :

Modal Auxiliaries মূল Verb এর অর্থকে প্রভাবিত করে ও ক্রিয়া সম্পাদনের জন্য যে Auxiliaries ব্যবহার হয় সেসবকে Modal Auxiliaries বলে।

Modal Auxiliaries এর তালিকা: Can/could, may/might,
shall/should, will/would, must, dare, need, ought to, used to, have to, be
going to, be to, would rather, had better ইত্যাদি.

Example:

I can speak English

Could you help me to solve the problem?

It may rain today.
